My name is Daniel Siebenkaes, founder of BreathandWork. I help individuals and professionals improve their breathing to create more focus, resilience and energy in demanding environments.
My journey into breathwork started out of necessity. At the age of 25, I experienced a severe burnout while balancing full-time work, studies and long daily commutes. My health deteriorated — recurring illness, low energy, shortness of breath and a constantly dysregulated nervous system became the norm.
Although I had practiced meditation since a young age, it became increasingly difficult to access calm and focus under real-life pressure. What changed everything was discovering structured breathing practices — starting with Pranayama and evolving into a deeper understanding of functional breathing and CO₂ tolerance.
What started as a daily habit became a long-term system. Over the past decade, I have consistently worked on improving my own breathing and understanding how it directly influences performance, recovery and mental clarity.
Today, I combine functional breathing, Oxygen Advantage, Pranayama and breathwork-based approaches into a practical and results-driven method. My focus is not on teaching isolated techniques, but on helping people actually integrate them into their daily lives.
Many people know breathing exercises — but very few apply them consistently. This is where I focus my work.
Alongside my work as a breathwork trainer, I am a senior manager in an international consultancy. This allows me to deeply understand high-performance environments and the challenge of maintaining focus and energy throughout demanding days. My approach is designed to fit into real schedules — not ideal ones.
I support individuals, teams and organizations in improving breathing patterns, increasing CO₂ tolerance and developing better control over their nervous system — not just for relaxation, but for measurable improvements in performance and well-being.
Through my background as a trained paramedic and collaboration with physiotherapists, sports scientists and medical professionals, I bring an additional practical and grounded perspective into my work.
Sessions range from functional breathing optimization to deeper breathwork experiences, depending on individual goals. I offer 1:1 coaching and corporate sessions, both virtually and in person (within Europe).
