Personal Philosophy
Our commitment to this is to ensure that we reclaim our power by reclaiming our breath from the moment we lost it.
Hannah Kendaru is an Indonesian-English breathwork therapist, educator, and founder of Inspire Breathwork, whose work bridges trauma healing, embodiment, and decolonial practice.
With over a decade of experience, Hannah’s approach is grounded in the understanding that the body is not only a place of healing, but also a site of wisdom, memory, and social context. Her work is deeply influenced by indigenous perspectives, somatic practices, and advanced trauma-informed training, allowing her to support both personal and collective healing.
Hannah works at the intersection of nervous system regulation, social justice, and embodied awareness, creating spaces that are somatically safe, holistic, and rooted in compassion. She recognises how disconnection, intergenerational trauma, and systemic forces such as colonialism shape our relationship with the body—and gently supports clients in returning to a sense of safety, presence, and inner resource.
Through breathwork, Hannah helps individuals slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with themselves, honouring both their personal experiences and the wider context in which those experiences exist. Her work invites a reclamation of breath as a pathway to power, identity, and freedom.
In addition to her clinical and facilitation work, Hannah is the founder of Inspire Breathwork, a training school and platform for education in decolonial healing and embodied social justice. She has also held leadership and community roles within the global breathwork field, contributing to the evolution of trauma-informed and socially conscious practice.
Her extensive training includes over 800 hours with Alchemy of Breath, advanced trauma studies, somatic and social justice education, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and specialised programs in anti-racism and embodied practice.
Our commitment to this is to ensure that we reclaim our power by reclaiming our breath from the moment we lost it.
